Attachment Instructions & Explanations for Duck Shell Decoys
Universal Motion Master for Shell Decoys " January 2008 Product of the Month" awarded by Hunt Fish Cook.com
After attaching head of your decoy to the body, find the balance point of the decoy by placing it on your finger ; mark the blance point with a permanent marker.
Place the two small HD velcro strips on either side of the balance point and the two larger HD velcro strips on the outside edge of the two smaller ones. Use both the HD Glue provided and the sticky back of velcro to attach a permanent bond to the decoy. For best results let it set up overnight. As you can see, decoys remain stackable !
Place the Velcro backed Universal Motion Master top piece unto the velcro strips on decoy, so that the top piece is centered on the balance point you marked. Adjust the UMM top piece forward or backward to give your decoy its best stance position. As you can see, these adjustments allow for many variations in decoy styles and designs
Insert pointed"h" side of the cold rolled steel stake into the ground by stepping on the horizontal part of the "h", so that it is planted securely in the ground. Place the decoy with the UMM top piece attached over the the stake and press down gently, but firmly, so that the stopper on the stake seats firmly into the funnel. The wind and the UMM will do the rest.
Mallard Motion Pro for Mallard Shell Decoys attachs the same way but with only two pieces of HD Velcro on either side of the predrilled factory hole which serves as the balance point on most Mallard Shell Decoys. Because all decoys are slightly different comming out of the molds, it may be necessary to vary slightly from that hole, as the balnce point, therefore being able to adjust the Mallard motion Pro disc head forward or backward on the HD Velcro strips, already on the decoy, is helpful. Plant the "h" stake in the ground and center the decoy over the top disc with the tail of the decoy pointed in the same direction as the side arm of the stake. Push down gently, but firmly to get the velcro to connect. The wind and the Mallard Motion Pro, with the aid of the side arm bumper & disc will do the rest. Great motion in light to heavy winds.
Decoy Waddle Motion for Carry-lite Mallard Shell Decoys is the easiest attachment of all our products. Simply place the "h" in the ground. Then with the decoys head installed on the body, simply place the decoy so the hole on the underside of the head sits over the stake and the side arm bumper of the stake is facing the same direction as the tail end of the decoy itself. The waddle motion that results from the wind is very realistic.
